We are pleased to have you consider Foothills Christian Preschool & Kindergarten for your child's early education. We offer each child a variety of learning experiences within the boundaries of structure and routine. Our teachers design the most effective learning environment by using their knowledge of early childhood development to identify the range of appropriate activities, behaviors, and materials for a specific age group. The concept of “developmentally appropriate” has two dimensions:
Age appropriateness: There are universal predictable sequences of growth and change that occur in a child during the first nine years of life.
Individual appropriateness: Each child is recognized as a unique person whose individuality is recognized through their patterns, growth, personality, learning style, and family background.
It is our aim to develop and implement a developmentally appropriate program and to serve as a partner with parents.
