Men's Spiritual Growth Series
The Men's Ministry Leadership Team hosts a Fall and Spring activity that we call our Men's Spiritual Growth Series. The intent of the series is to allow FBC men to dig a little deeper into the theme that we have chosen for the year. The theme that we have chosen for our new season is Unchanging Truth in Changing Times.
FOCUS ON THE FAMILY'S 
In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical world. Only 9 percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview.
Because of this, today's believers live very similarly to non-believers. A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy and we begin to wonder what life's ultimate purpose really is. We are, in short, losing our bearings as a people and a nation.
To counter this slide within the body of Christ, Focus on the Family created one of the most ambitious and powerful projects in the history of their ministry— The Truth Project http://www.thetruthproject.org/.
The Truth Project is twelve lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.
We believe The Truth Project represents a great way to achieve an in-depth understanding of our 2008-09 Theme - Unchanging Truth in Changing Times.
We invite you to be a part of this experience by participating in this years Men's Spiritual Growth Series where we will watch and discuss the DVDs. The spring 2009 schedule and details are as follows:
o Dates: January 17 & 31; February 14 & 28; March 14 & 28
o Awana room: 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. The DVD begins promptly at 7:35 a.m.
o Continental breakfast provided
