What is a Home Bible Study?
In our society today, a local church is able to meet as an entire church family in a building. But we may grow to such an extent that it becomes difficult for meaningful relationships to develop. It then becomes necessary to meet in small groups in order for such important relationships to be experienced and faith, hope and love to be nurtured in each other's lives.
To meet these needs, we have developed small groups called "Home Bible Studies". These small groups serve as an extended spiritual family and are open for anyone to attend. These small groups complement and supplement our weekend worship services. The worship service is a means of stimulating individuals to a deeper relationship with God and others. But a Home Bible Study is the context for these dynamics to happen. They combine the three vital experiences essential for a strong church as outlined in Acts 2:42-47.
THREE VITAL EXPERIENCES OF A HOME BIBLE STUDY:
LEARNING
...devoted to the apostles' teaching from Scripture
RELATING
...devoted to fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer
WITNESSING
...added to their numbers daily those who were being saved
